Day 1 – Cairo to Siwa
- Overnight Departure from Cairo – Private transfer departs Cairo heading northwest through the desert roads.
- Lunch in Marsa Matrouh – A welcome break in this charming Mediterranean coastal town.
- Cold Spring of Siwa – Cool off in one of Siwa’s natural freshwater springs on arrival.
- Sunset at Shali Fortress – Climb to the ruins of Siwa’s ancient mud-brick citadel for a panoramic sunset over the oasis and desert horizon. An unforgettable first impression of Siwa.
- Dinner & Hotel Check-in
Day 2 – Temples, Springs & Salt Lakes
- Mountain of the Dead (Gabal al-Mawta) – Discover rock-cut tombs adorned with ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman artwork, carved into the hillside for Siwa’s noble families.
- Temple of Alexander the Great (Oracle of Amun) – Stand in the ruins of the sacred oracle temple where Alexander the Great received his divine proclamation in 331 BC – a pivotal moment in ancient history.
- Cleopatra’s Bath (Ain Guba) – Take a dip in this famous natural spring, flowing continuously for thousands of years and bearing the name of Egypt’s greatest queen.
- Lunch – Traditional meal at a local restaurant.
- Dakrur Mountain & Salt Lakes – Drive through the eerie, beautiful landscape of glittering salt flats stretching across the desert floor.
- Sunset on Fitnas Island – Watch the sun set over the dunes and salt lake from this small island, one of Siwa’s most iconic and romantic spots.
